I don't get it.......

Ariel (if prononced like I think it is) was used as a name for a little mermaid princess in a VERY well-known Walt-Disney Movie. I don't see how anyone could name there son a name that is most know as a human/fish princess that lives in the ocean. Aren't yall scared that he would be picked on?
