It is one of the few trendy names I've always liked. I want it to look as classic as it possibly can.
kay-lee. How would you spell it to make it look more classic? What is your favorite spelling in general? Maybe do a top 3 or top 5 or whatever you feel like.
I love the happy, sunny sound of this name. My favorite spelling used to be
Kayley. Then I liked
Kaylee for a while and then Caley and
Kaley. After that I liked
Kayleigh for a bit then
Kaylie and
Kailey and now I'm back to
Kaylee.
I just think it's fun to think about.
Kaylee - this was the first spelling that charted for girls in the 1960s, if I remember correctly (beyond the top 1000). It feels somewhat more classic because it really looks like
Kay +
Lee and like someone maybe combined these names to honor someone and it has a clear meaning due to being a combination of two names.
Caley - I think this was the first one that charted in general, in the 1920s for boys. The pronunciation is not as clear, but it looks neat and tidy, but maybe also a bit boring?
Kayley - similar to
Hayley so seems familiar.
Kailey - looks somewhat balanced, but also like it's missing something.
Kaley - I think Caley looks better.
Kayleigh - seems a bit much to me now.
Kaylie - seems to cutesy to me now.
Thoughts?
Oh and please don't reply just saying "I hate it" or something, it won't be helpful. I'd like to know about the spellings.
Thanks :)
