Overall I would prefer something like Kayla to Kaylee. When it comes to Kaylee I honestly had no clue it was the original spelling. It looks very modern to me.
My fav would be Kaylie, Kaylee, or even Caye Lee.
The worst spellings Ive encountered would be Caleigh and Kale.
To me Kay Lee, Kay-Lee, Kaye-Lee, Cay Lee, Kaye-Leigh, Kay Leigh, etc. looks the most classic.
