Ivan and Diane are a young couple who have known each other for a couple years. Neither of them believes in marriage, so they live together as partners.
Ivan (25) has an English father and a Norwegian mother and is named after his grandfathers. He has blond curly hair and brown eyes, and he works as an analyst in business management.
Diane (26) has mostly English heritage, but her great-grandfather was originally from Ethiopia: her MN and LN are honoring these roots of her family tree. She has brown straight hair and blue eyes, and she works as a graphic designer.
Ivan and Diane have just moved to an early 20th century mansion Ivan inherited from his late grandfather Montgomery Ivan Horn.

Ophelia, Seraphina and Raphael were born six weeks before their due date: their MNs are honoring the two midwifes and the obstetrician, who were assisting in the delivery.

A couple of months after the triplet’s birth Lexine started to feel very nauseous: she was pregnant again! And that wasn’t all: for Ivan and Lexine’s shock they found themselves expecting another set of triplets! The triplet boys Gareth, Radclyffe and Alphonso were born six weeks before their due date just like their big siblings. This time Ivan and Lexine wanted to honor by MNs their loved ones who have helped them during the past couple of years: Lexine’s father Philip, Ivan’s best friend Neil and his brother Simon.

Life with six children under the age of three has been rough for Ivan and Lexine’s relationship and they’ve come to realize that they no longer have romantic feelings for each other. Even though Ivan and Lexine aren’t couple anymore, they’ve decided to stay as friends and take together care of their children.

Later, after Ivan and Lexine’s separation, he and Dodie fell in love.
