Random event: You’re considering to adopt an 8 year old kid. What is the final decision?
Ryan and Carrie were thrilled to welcome to the world the newest addition to their family, Olivia Jasmine, who has been nicknamed Livie by her older siblings. Olivia was born September 24th, with dark blonde hair and gorgeous blue eyes. She looks so much like her Mommy, and already has Daddy wrapped around her finger :-)
Grant is now a freshman in high school and is especially loving the time he spends on the baseball field. He's still very much a high achiever when it comes to academics and is already planning where he wants to go to college.
Kate is a seventh grader and loving middle school. She's made so many friends and has really grown out of the shyness she had as a little girl. In fact, her favorite class is theatre and she loves every minute on the stage.
Ava is a fourth grader and is still a sweet, nurturing little girl. She loves to help out with her younger siblings and still enjoys reading, coloring, and playing quietly in her room.
Ian, Trent, and Allie are in preschool and virtually inseparable, especially the boys. Ian and Trent love everything that has to do with cars and trucks and are active little boys who enjoy being outside. Allie really enjoys playing with her brothers, though she can also be quite the girly-girl who loves princesses and dress up.
Shortly before they knew they were expecting, Ryan and Carrie considered adopting an 8-year-old girl, who happens to be one of Ava's best friends in school. Tragically, her parents recently passed away in an accident, and despite the challenges they knew would come with confronting the grief of a heartbroken child, they decided to go ahead and adopt her, making her a part of the family. And so, Sara Elisabeth has joined the family and fits in wonderfully; and of course, she's more than happy to have all the time in the world with Ava, now.
***I hope it's okay that I chose the gender and the name of the 8-year-old child. If not, let me know, and I'll change my story a bit.
