Random event: Mom finds out dad had an affair, what are the consequences?
Life has been good and quiet for the Windhams since Clayton's tumultuous birth. Good, that is, until Theron's nurse, Lacey came forward and admitted that she and Theron were having an affair and had been for the past 3 1/2 years! The only reason she had come forward was because she was pregnant. Theron was furious that he was to have yet ANOTHER child but agreed to support Lacey anyhow. Roxanne couldn't take it any longer. She knew their marriage had been suffering for years now and she decided it was time to end it. Theron and Roxanne divorced and Roxanne took primary custody of the children, though they still visited their father. Because of Theron's affair Roxanne walked away with a large alimony and she felt free for the first time in a long while. Theron, on the other hand, felt like his life was falling apart. Lacey wanted to marry him so they could raise their child together, but Theron said he wasn't ready to marry yet. He did, however, buy a new house (Roxanne had gotten their house when they divorced) and let Lacey move in as they prepared for a new child. Soon after Lacey gave birth to Annika Claire and Theron was absolutely thrilled with his new daughter. Perhaps his life was starting to turn around . . .
