Re: Names you like but are hesitant to use
Growing up with a common name (Scarlett) I've always been strongly opposed to names in the top 100. I would want my child to feel unique and special.
These following names are beautiful, but I'm having some doubts about them.
1. Greyson. I really love this name, but way too popular.
2. Zoey. Very pretty, but I know at least five.
3. Evangeline. One of my top picks, but it's teetering on the 100th mark.
4. Éowyn. (Ay-OH-win). A strong name after a wonderful literary character. But it seems people always have a negative reaction to it.
5. Levison. My favorite boy name ever, but why does everyone seem to hate it?
6. Cordelia. A sweet name after a strong Shakespeare character. Does it sound too old?
7. Aster. I think this name is elegant and simple, but it might sound like a swear word. Too bad, I really love it.
8. River (for a girl.) One of my best friends is named River, and he is a boy.
9. Atticus. Strong literary context, but it sounds a little old. Maybe for a middle name!
10.Finley. Great name, but I have a friend named this.
