I have a list in my PNL called "Love but Can't Use." Most of these are names of family members and my friends' kids, or names similar enough that for me to use them would be considered "weird." There are others, though--on that list or the Guilty Pleasures list--that are on the list either from bad associations or general taboo:
Damien (The Omen... also The Exorcist)
Silas (bad association)
&
Antigone (people are going to call her "Anti Gone")
Hera (problematic character)
Imelda (Marcos)
Jezebel (problematic character)
Madonna (everyone just thinks of the singer)
Margot (bad association)
Pandora (problematic character... also, jewelry... also, radio)
Persephone (problematic myth; also, most people will mispronounce it)
