Re: Names you like but are hesitant to use

Harry Potter associated names like Hermione, Ollivander, Ginerva, Albus etc
Religious names (or heavily associated) like Theresa, Joshua, Ambrose, Emmanuel,
Names that have heavy cultural negative ties like Justin, Ebenezer, Winsor (this spelling and not Windsor because fun fact: despite my very British existance, I had managed to not give a toss enough about the royal family so much that I didnt know they were Windsors until my mid 20s. Winsor McCay is an animator and I got the name from him years prior), Homer and Tory
Japanese names like Toshio, Sakura, Nadeshiko and Megumi
Just off the top of my head

Out of curiosity: what is the heavy negative cultural tie for Justin? The first person I think of is Timberlake, and while he has certainly had his ups and downs in his career (I think he's currently in a "down" due to the DUI), he's not necessarily persona non grata.
Justin Bieber - he is exactly my age and the age of my old friends from school (and boyfriend). I didn't like his music, but he was fine at the start but he was a kid, really. He became a knob, however, but I understand that's just what fame does to most young minds. Still, there's a heavy association
I haven't heard of any negative connotations! And I know a few kids with this name. If you like it, I would say use it.
I'm curious - you mean you've never head of the following;
Ebenezer Scrooge from A Christmas Carol
The British Royal Family whose family name is Windsor
Homer Simpson from The Simpsons
Justin Beiber (a singer)
I understand you might not have known about Tory if you didn't live in the UK, but our Conservative Party is called the Tories. A right-wing person is called a Tory. I grew up with the name from the English dub of Cardcaptor Sakura, so I have both positive and negative associations.
