1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike?
I like that many of your names are old-fashioned and classics. There's nothing I really dislike about your style. :)
2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? Well, I LOVE many of your names because their classics and many are timeless. I LOVE that your like Margot. The only name I loathe is Gregory but that's for personal reasons.3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? Henry Samuel and Margot Genevieve4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? Hmmm, this is tough. I would change anything about your actual style. I would probably change John to Jack.5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? William or Matilda6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...) Timeless, Classic, Antique charm (old-fashioned), Ladies and Gentlemen (names that display warmth, reassurance, and dignity)7. What name advice yould you give me? None. 1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? / 2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? - I LOVE the old-fashioned classics. I dislike what I refer to as the "boring classics" i.e. the overused ones (past and present) like Emily, Katherine, William and John. 3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? - Flora Isabelle (close runners-up are Susannah Florence, Lydia Charlotte, Matilda Caroline) and Henry Samuel (Charles Frederick is a close 2nd). 4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? - Search out some lesser-used classics, otherwise nothing. 5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? - The ones I mentioned above ('boring classics')6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? 1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike?
I like your use of unusual classic names like Adelaide, Claudia, Georgiana, Theodore, Frederick and Augustus. Not crazy about names like Imogen Sophia because they seem very trendy to me and Jasper / Hugo style names because they strike me as pretentious.2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?
Well, Henry Sebastian was my top name for a while... so I love it. I also think Aurelia Delphine is a FABULOUS combo. Mathilda Rosaline is urking me because I would prefer it spelled Matilda Rosalind.3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? Aurelia Delphine and Theodore Louis.4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? I'd get rid of the few uppity or trendy names.5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? Imogen, Sophia and Gabriel.6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? - Only two?? :b Cordelia Iris (others I absolutely adore: Adelaide, Imogen, Estella, and Aurelia) and Lucian Felix (also adore Henry Sebastian, Jasper, Ambrose, and Augustus Gabriel)4. 1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? / 2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? - I like the lesser-used classics. I adore your girl's GP name Ophelia Liadan (I wouldn't have the guts to use it myself :b). I dislike a lot of the very popular names, even the classics, but I like quite a few of them myself. The only one I greatly dislike is Samanie, which looks made-up to me.3. 1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? I like that it is classy and that the names would work on adults as well as children.2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? I love the fact that you have names that are actually usable, I’m not sure if you did it on purpose! I tend to think of names and when I tell other people I like them they think I’m nuts, your ones would appeal to everyone, but this might mean that they rather popular.3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? Ooo tough, I’ll go for Timothy Luke because it is well balanced and I love Tim and Tabitha Clare (although I have a massive soft spot for Allegra Charlotte, I already have Adelaide Charlotte).4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? Nothing!5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? I guess Jayne is the middle name all of my friends seem to have and I know too many little Jacobs and Aidans.6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...) Classic with wide appeal.7. What name advice yould you give me? I don’t know enough to give out advice, I’m learning J8. Any other comments? I don’t think Ophelia should be a guilty pleasure, it is gorgeous. Despite the suicidal young woman image, I can’t help thinking it sounds so lovely.

Thank you for being so nice about my names! And no, I don't think I did the usable names thing on purpose, I've never been a big fan of majorly 'out there' names anyway so it was a totally natural choice. Saying that though, I do like the fact I have some unusual ones that aren't too off the wall.I know a bazillion girls with the middle name Jayne, but I just really love it, and think it sounds gorgeous with Victoria. As for Ophelia being a guilty pleasure, I love the sound but just feel it's slightly too unusual (and too obviously from literature) for me to ever realistically use.

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike?
I like that you've chosen some lesser-used "classics" for both boys and girls, like Clara rather than Claire, and Beatrice and Elsa, as well as August, Graham and Jonas.2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?
I really love that you keep family in mind and choose to honor them. I realize not everybody is into honoring, but I am, and I always admire it in others. I can't find anything to dislike about your style, much less loathe! ;D3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal?
Rosalie Camille and Miles Edmund, hands down!4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?
Not a thing! I think you have great taste. :)5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?
None, really. Violet is getting quite popular, but I like it.6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...)
I would call nearly all of these classic older names that sound fresh today.7. What name advice would you give me?
None. Your style is terrific, it "sounds" like you, if that makes sense. :)8. Any other comments?
I really like Everett Gideon, as you might guess, as well as Candis. My best friend is Candis Marie; she has twin boys named Corbin Everett and Carter Elliott, so I thought you might appreciate those coincidences. Also, having seen you mention Imogen Pearl a number of times, while I never liked Imogen before I have to say the more I hear you use it the more it grows on me. Great combos! :D

Knock me down with all your great combos! I love or like all your girls names, including your GP. Isolde Clementine is absolutely great. I also love Violet Ingrid, Imogen Pearl and Clara Elspeth. All your boys combos sound great, too. Not all of the names may be my favourite, but they sound fantastic and none are too common or too popular.2. They're much more common/classic.5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? Eleanor.... I get the feeling this is going to sore in popularity.6. The only combo I really don't care for is Isabelle Skye, and it's not bad by any means. 3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? - Isla Marguerite and Emmett Oliver 4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? - nothing at all5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? - Isabelle, Skye, Grace, William, James6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...) - Old-fashioned flavor7. What name advice yould you give me? - Keep using the names you love8. Any other comments? :)

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? I really like Grace, Alexandra, Noah, and Isaac. I'm not a huge fan of Irish/Celtic names although the ones you chose are ones that I like somewhat.2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? I love that you like Grace as a first name. The only thing I loathe is probably the boy's Irish names but that's mainly because I'm ignorant about their pronunciation. Also, I'm not a big fan of the two middle names.3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? Alexandra Charlotte Anne and Noah William Tobin4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? I'd make Saoirse a first name instead of a middle name. :) Also, I'd probably only use one middle name.5. Hannah Violet and Asher Michael4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?
Nothing...I think all of the names fit well together5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?
I am tired of the name Joshua in general (it is sooooo common in Australia! I don't know if that is the same everywhere else) and I am very tired with Grace being used as a middle name (although Rachel Grace is very pretty)6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? I would say classic7. What name advice yould you give me?
Maybe add some other boys names into the mix instead of using Robin and August twice...besides that maybe some more unusual names? Really I don't think you need any advice!8. Any other comments?

I definitely agree with Mashka on this, and I totally agree with her statement. :) 2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?I love the little off-beat, eccentric, hippie names that you use like Summer, Nightingale and Mercy.3. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?Nothing.5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?Connor and Ethan, only because I know so many of them. I also know more than my fair share of Sienas, so I'm a wee bit tired of that name, too.6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...)Hippy-chic and off-beat mixed with some traditional favourites.7. What name advice would you give me?Absolutely none!8. Any other comments?I'm excited about the name Nightingale. I've never seen it on a naming board or heard it used as a name. Meadow Nightingale is *gorgeous*!Hi, Mashka, thanks for all your kind comments! I've been around a bit, but haven't posted much, mainly for two reasons: first, it seems like lately the same few very young posters are sorta dominating all the boards; and second, I've had houseguests for the past week. My best friend Candis, her husband Craig, their 2yo twin boys Corbin and Carter, and their 1yo daughter Cassidy (yeah, they just had to do the same-initial thing, *yawn*). So with three kids under 2 mixed with my 3yo and 5yo, things have been chaotic! But thanks for missing me! That makes me feel really good! :D

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike?
I love that several of your names particularly your girls names are not in the top 100. Also, I LOVE that you like Mercy. The only thing I dislike is the names Clancy and Jedidiah (however, I do like the Hawk nickname)
2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? I guess I should have put the Mercy comment down here. :) I also love the name Serena. The only name I can say I absolutley loathe is Clancy. It may be a little too old fashioned for my tastes.3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? Well, actually there's two girls combos I quite like, Mercy Evangeline and Lily Elena. The other one is probably Ethan Gabriel but I wish it was Gabriel Ethan though.4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? I'd probably throw in a few more classics but for the most part I quite like your style.5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? Probably Ethan, Connor, and Lily but I still like all 3.6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...) Charms and Graces which are names that reflect grace, beauty, adn propriety. Also, Timeless and Biblical (b/c of a few boys names).7. What name advice would you give me? Maybe, get rid of Clancy :) No, I don't think you need to change anything.

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? / 2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? - I like a lot of the classic names that aren't overused (like Ian, Isaac, Charlotte, Nadia, Molly, Inez, Ethel, and Louise). I love Ruby Genevieve (this spelling)! I dislike some of the more popular and trendy names. I don't loathe anything, really (but my least favorite is probably Andi Kirstin, too nickname-y and cutesy imo). Also, btw, Shane and Ian are both forms of John, essentially, so I wouldn't use them both in the same combo, and Aiden this spelling is a pet peeve of mine. I only like it spelled Aidan, but it's way too popular for me at the moment. :( 3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? - Ruby Genevieve and Benjamin William (I love Benjamin, despite its popularity :b)4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? - I prefer the less common names, but I really wouldn't change anything. 5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? - Caden, Matthew, Jacob, Michael, Tyler, Elizabeth, Allison, Cassandra, Marie. 6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...) - Popular and somewhat trendy7. What name advice yould you give me? - see above 8. Any other comments? :)

2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? - Your style is different but not youneek. I love that. Some are a little too 'out there' to use IRL, I think, but I still admire them and would be thrilled to see any of them in the BA's. BTW, the only name I'd have to say I 'loathe' (that's such a strong word) is Brutus Labyrinth. WAY trying-too-hard, I think. Doesn't help that I used to dog-sit for an English bulldog named Brutus. :b 3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? - Amabel River (Wren Viola is a very close 2nd) and Ezra Constantine 4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? - Maybe pair the more unusual names with the slightly more common ones, to give it a little more balance. Otherwise, nothing. 5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? - None. Your style definitely doesn't fall under "popular" or "trendy", lol.6. 1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? I like that you also like classic, timeless names. 1. I love the style. It's funky and traditional! I don't like Vasil or Marcelyn though.2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? There are so many name origins represented that it sounds rather like you're trying to be hip and worldly. If the names have special meaning to you, then that's cool, but all together, these look trying-too-hard to me. I do like the fact that you have Søren on your list--it makes the Norwegian in me warm and fuzzy. :)2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?I love the fact that you like Pandora, which is such a beautiful, hopeful name. I also really like that there are several literary names on your list--Wendy, Lenore, Sawyer, Rainier--whether that was purposeful or not. :) I don't see anything I absolutely loathe.3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal?I think I'd take Alice Rosalind (deliciously literature-minded) and Vasil Cyprian (Cyprian's the name of a character who's quite near and dear to my heart).4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?I would be narrow-minded and make the majority of your names stay from one language; while I'm ardently against making sibling names "match," having a bunch of names of odd origins really does feel pseudo-hipster to me. However, I dislike the idea of changing people's naming styles, so disregard it. ;)5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?Scott makes me yawn. Lyra's getting kind of irritatingly ubiquitous on name boards.6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...)I think you're very much the world-beat namer. You've got everything from Anasztazia to Saoirse on the table.

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? I like that many of your boys names are strong, biblical names. Also, I like that many of your girls names are timeless. The only name I dislike is Leila probably because of the Eric Clapton song.2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? I love your naming style so basically see the above comments.3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? Probably, Gabriel Adam and Marina Charlotte.4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? Not really anything. Probably just Leila or Adriana (I dislike someone with this name).5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? I suppose Jacob and Sofia.6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...) Biblical, Timeless, and Lacy and Lissome (very feminine names)7. dislike: too much Latinization = too flowery / lacy for my taste2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?
I'm not into Biblical boy names so much as all that. A few of them seem archaic to me - and on real guys, overbearing (Jonah, Lucas, Elijah in particular)3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal?
Marina Charlotte and Gabriel Adam, maybe Asher Benjamin for great sound4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?
De-latinize the girls and de-biblicize the boys, a bit? They're a tad severe as a group. 5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?
Sofia, Charlotte, Matilda, Grace, Natalia, Annelise6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...)

Thanks!I do have a weakness for frilly names. There are very few I dislike.I didn't pick the Biblical ones on purpose, actually, and was surprised to see people commenting on it. Hmm.Aidan River is as close to guilty pleasure as I can get. I'm REALLY conservative with boys. Kylia Oceana will stay very firmly on the GP list, but thanks.I LOVE Anna too.

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike?
I like that there are a lot of "solid" and Biblical boys' names, and pretty, feminine (and mostly non-trendy) girls' names. I dislike that many of them are so popular or gaining in popularity. But I can relate--I like many of these names and it makes me sick that they are so common. :( Also, some of the girls' names are a bit too frilly for me. 2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? - I love the less common, but "classic" names like Naomi, Simone, Matilda, Leila, Oliver and Jonah. I don't know about loathe but I really don't care for your GP names at all. 3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? - Olivia Naomi and Jonah Gabriel

4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? - I've decided I don't really like this question. :b Unless someone is making up names or being kre8tiv, it's all good, imo. lol 5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? - Sofia, Gabrielle, Grace, James, Lucas, Nicholas, Jonathan, JACOB, Daniel, William 6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...) - Popular and classic 7. What name advice yould you give me? - see above

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? / 2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? - I love that you have old-fashioned classics, many that are underused. I dislike many of the popular, overused names. Whoa, horrible response to Avery Piper! It's just a GP, though, so don't worry! :)Cora Felicity
Margot Aurelia
Adelle Sofia
Ava Camille (I'm not sure about this one, but I like it.)
Guilty Pleasure: Avery PiperHenry Miles
Simon Alexander
Gideon Vincent
Elliot James
Guilty Pleasure: Clark Spencer - I just did ten combos total because I have a hard time coming up with combos. My faves list is in my profile if you need more, but I think these are enough to answer the Q's. :) -1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike?2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal?4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?6. 1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike?
like: memorable and timely names not too far out of mainstream. Great combinations, no weak sounds at all, lots of strong long vowels
dislike: couple trendier picks, no big deal2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?
no, nothing too striking except with respect to particular names3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal?
Margot Aurelia and Elliot James. Clark too, but not with Spencer4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?
Well, none really - I guess maybe make less popular choices, but that'd be just me. I don't disapprove of the popular ones so much.5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?
Sofia, FELICITY, Avery, Miles6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...)
moderately fashionable classics, WUMC, conservative but having a great sense of style. Tending to pick "strong" sounds.7. What name advice yould you give me?
Careful to avoid the bland (nothing too bland here but maybe a tendency). 8. Any other comments?
Margot A. and Adelle S. are great! I hate Felicity. Cora Felicia? ;-)- mirfak

I love your naming style, period!2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?
Love? Probably everything. Your names are uncommon and timeless, and they all look great today. Except for Avery Piper, which I really dislike.3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal?
Cora Felicity and Henry Miles4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?
Drop Avery Piper! 5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?
James as a middle name. It's my dad's name though so I'll probably use it too. It just seems so filler.6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...)
Classic and timeless.7. What name advice yould you give me?

Felix, Miles, Celia, Francesca and Nora are on my list. lol Great suggestions. Thanks.I love James, but it's too common as a FN to me, so I made it a MN but I guess it does seem filler.

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? I like that all of your combos are very classic, but not often heard. However, some of them (Ava in particular) seem to be gaining popularity.2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? Pretty much the same as above. The only thing here that I really dislike is the combo Avery Piper.3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? I would take Cora Felicity and Simon Alexander, which are both gorgeous. 4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? I might take out some of names gaining popularity, first. Then I would probably tweak the middle names as well, and replace James and Sofia, which it seems that I hear all of the time in the middle name spot.5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? Ava, Sofia, Elliot, and Camille are all names that I've heard a little too often either on people that I know or on the boards. 6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...) Classic and sensible.7. What name advice would you give me? As I said above, your names seem very "sensible". That's good, but I think you could afford to go out on a limb with some even more unusual names, even if it's just in the middle name spot.8. Any other comments? Great combos! :-)

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? / 2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? - I love old-fashioned names and classics that are underused. Unfortunately, like me, you love names that seem to be gaining in popularity lately. :( Otherwise, I really like your naming style (we have very similar taste!) and the only one I dislike is your girl's guilty pleasure. LOL. I do love Avery for a boy, though. :b 3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? - Cora Felicity and Henry Miles (but I actually adore all your boy combos, but I love both of these names, especially). 4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? - Like me, we need to find some more names that are not currently rising in popularity. 5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? - Ava has gotten so popular I've taken it off my favorites list, unfortunately (but I love Camille, and it does make a wonderful combo :b).6. Thanks for your comment! I see your point with the boys names. I do think that having a more 'normal' mn for the boys doesn't matter much, because 95% of the people will only know them by there first name or like Romeo P. LN. I usually like mns that I consider too much as a fn or for honouring people. I knew a girl once who had San as a nn. I loves it (I was 12 when I first heard it), it stuck on me, I also like Sam, but I thought that would be too much a boy's name...

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike?
Like: short, neat, high-impact femme firstnames. Good judgment of compromise between modern-appropriateness and rarity. International but in an unobtrusive way, not ostentatiously "foreign"
Dislike: male names that seem unreal (overall)2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?
Love: nice use of rhythm and subtle alliteration in combos, fun to say them aloud
loathe: nothing really3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal?
Carmen Ravenna
Rune Stellan .. maybe Romeo Prospero or Dante Constantine, as a GP4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?
remove surname firstnames like Bowen, Thorsten: too stiff and pretentious. remove archaic seeming male names (Boaz, Jochem).5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?

idiosyncratic; taste-based. Unusual names chosen for sound and impact. Modern influence on basically classic tastes.7. What name advice yould you give me?

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? / 2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? - I like the international-ness of it, if that makes sense. :) These names aren't boring, either. As for dislikes, some are nms and many would be hard for 'most' people in the U.S. (where I live) to spell/pronounce. But that's not necessarily a reason to NOT use a name you love, I know. 3. Gilda Rae and Jay Clarence4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?
Get rid of ones that to me seem hopelessly stodgy / oldmannish (George, Lemuel, Bertram); refuse to indulge you on the confusing - and I think unattractive - spelling of Juleann; dump Christian (sounds weak in real life to me, especially in this combo)5. nonconformist/character names; early/mid 20c image but rare enough that they're not strongly "dated;" streaked with classic and Bible. Refreshingly, they tend to be race neutral as well.7. What name advice yould you give me?

They're not so much "Okay, if I have a Christian he'll be a Cricket from day one!" as "That'd be kind of cute if it sounded right on him." Guidelines rather than absolute rules, you know? :) I'm more than open to spontaneous nicknames, since I give them to people constantly and unconsciously; I doubt that my mother expected me to call my sister Jeanie at any point, as an example.refuse to indulge you on the confusing - and I think unattractive - spelling of JuleannI have to admit I love how you've phrased this. But out of curiosity, how would you spell a name pronunced jool-ANN? I've been struggling with that a great deal, and the only two ideas that have seemed viable have been Juleann and Julanne. And Jackie isn't so bad. I guess the guilt is about the popularity.I'm just not sure it could stand on its own--and I'm unfortunately not a huge fan of any of the names it could be short for. :/ But Jackie is so--so--neat, I guess, on a boy. The fact that you just didn't pull the name, say, "Stardust" out of your butt and say 'Aww, that's kewt' but there is a REASON for your liking it, it has a positive association for you, etc, is a reason, imo, for using a "less common" name. :)3. 1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike?
I like that none of your names are at all trendy. However, a few of the names you picked are a little too dated for my tastes such as Harriet and Homer2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? I really love many of your names because their old fashioned and sound very refreshing. I do loathe the names Homer, Felix, Olga, and Irene.3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? I would probably steal Linus Frederick and Sofia Lilac.4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? The only thing I would change is the names I mentioned in question 2. Other than that, I really like your naming style.5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? Maybe Sofia, Henry, and Milo. However, I still like all 3 of these names.6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...) Probably, Timeless, Classic, Slavic, Ladies and Gentlemen names which are names that have warmth, reassurance, and dignity.7. What name advice yould you give me? Personally, I don't think you need any advice because I think you have fantastic taste. :)8. Any other comments?Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart. - Anne Frank
Great Spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. - Albert Einstein

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike?I like how they all flow extremely well and the styles match perfectly together. I'm not really into some of the older sounding names though.2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?I feel like some of the name are a little too much.3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal?Henry George and Sofia Lilac (love this)4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?I would match up some of the more unsuaul names with names that are a little more simple or common. Sofia Melusine being an example.5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?None really. I don't hear any of these too often, except maybe Sofia, which I adore. :)6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...)Old7. What name advice yould you give me?Just what I mentioned in question #4.8. Any other comments?

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike?
Naturey girl names, some dashing old guy names - like
Dislike: some of the names still seem antiquated to me. 2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?
Not really about the style itself. I love Caspar (and Kaspar); Tallulah Plum sounds like a character in a bad Fitzgerald ripoff3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal?
Lucian Raphael
Irene Violet4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?
Bring it a bit more up to date and down to earth ;-)5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?
August, Milo, Anastasia6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...)
Romantic-antique / antique-rustic, classical (as opposed to religious or modern-inspired) .. bohemian yet conservative, as they seem WASPy but definitely not ordinary or fitting-in7. What name advice yould you give me?
Be careful to consider if an unfashionable name would sound severe or reticent on a person with a less dominant personality or less attractive personage. Homer, Olga, Walter could seem kinda sad, if they're not known as Popular Rich Kids8. Any other comments?
Refreshing to see these names - for the most part they're adventurously romantic, but still would be considered firmly classic so they don't "try too hard" for the most part. - mirfak

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike?
Like: You have some nice names that aren't heard very often (i.e. Henry, Frederick, Maria, & Esther).
Dislike: You have some names that just have absolutely no appeal to me (i.e. Homer, Linus, Rupert, Hazel, Georgina, & Nora).2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe?
Love: I like the very feminine names (Rose, Sofia, Maria, & Anastasia) and the very masculine names (Henry, Frederick, & Nicholas).
Loathe: The only thing that really stands out to me are the names that, to me, have no appeal and almost seem dated.3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal?
Girls: Maria Rosamund
Boys: Henry George
4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?
I wouldn't necessarily change anything about your naming style because it's your's and those are the names that appeal to yourself. For myself, I would change the older names that don't appeal to me.5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?
I'm tired of Milo, but only because I don't like it. Other than that, there aren't any that I'm tired of because they're everywhere; there are just some that don't appeal to me at all.6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...)
I think you have a very classic naming style, using names that are underused or not heard of often anymore.7. What name advice yould you give me?
Stick to what you love and what appeals to you...8. Any other comments?

I love a lot of your boys names, but some of your girls names are a little much (Sorry! Melusine is just nmsaa!)3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal?
Felix Alexander and Mabel Rose4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make?
I wouldn't 'change' it. I like that you use less-popular, classic names. Maybe not every name is one I like, but your "style" is awesome.5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason?
Henry has really taken off here on the boards, but I love it, too. Alexander is a great MN, so unfortunately, many people use it that way. Rose is boring as a MN, and Violet has really sprung up lately.6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...)
Retro-chic, I guess?7. What name advice yould you give me?

1. What do you like about my naming style and what do you dislike? /
2. Is there anything you absolutely love about my naming style? Absolutely loathe? (I'm combining these questions) - I LOVE underused old-fashioned names, and you have quite a few of those listed. You also have some "exotic traditionals" (a term used in the Baby Name Wizard book to describe common international names that are less common in the U.S., etc.) which I like a lot as well. A few are a little popular (Sofia, Maria) for me or frilly (Anastasia) but all in all, not a clunker in the bunch. 3. If you could steal two combos, one from the girls and one boys, which combos would you steal? - Only one?? :b Nora Hazel and Milo Rupert (close runners-up are Henry George, Lucian Raphael, Linus Frederick, Dashiell August, Harriet Georgina, and Esther Flora). 4. If you could change something about my naming style, what changes would you make? - Nothing, really 5. What names from my lists are you tired of seeing for whatever reason? - Sofia, Anastasia, Rose (mn), Nicholas and Alexander. Overused, nms. 6. How would you classify my naming tendencies? (For example: classic, trendy, retro-chic, old, kre8iv, etc...) - As I said above, a mix of underused classics/underused old-fashioned names and 'exotic traditionals'.7. What name advice yould you give me? - Keep up the good work!8. Any other comments? - Nope. Except that this was a good idea. :)

ETA: Tallulah Plum is darling!Woo hoo! Another one for the Tallulah Plum love! :D Thank you for your ultra-nice assessment of my names. :) It made me feel so great that you'd steal more than just one of my combos, lol. It does worry me, though, that I'm using names that are getting a wee bit stale. I hope to recycle them by using them in new combos with less stale names, but sometimes it just doesn't work. :(Thanks again! :)
