Message: "Laramie?" - Behind the Name

What do you think of the name Laramie for a little boy? I first heard of it as the name of Fort Laramie, and it was used on a few children born on the Oregon trail near the aforementioned Fort. It is pronounced Lair-uh-mee. Do you think it would be best as a fn or mn? Also, what names do you think go well with it?
