Meaning & History

Likely an invented name, probably based on the sounds found in other names such as Alexia, Kiana 2, Tiana, Briana and Giana. Perhaps in some cases it originated as an abbreviation of Christiana, considering that the letter X informally means "Christ" (as in Xmas "Christmas").

This name was borne by Xiana Fairchild (1992-1999), an American child who was kidnapped and murdered at age 7.
