As the founder of behindthename.com in 1996, I've researched and compiled names for over 25 years. Originally a hobby site, since 2016 it has been my full-time job. My specific interest is with given names (first names/"baby names"), though this site also lists surnames and place names.
I'm married with two kids and we live in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia.
