[Opinions] How are you pronouncing it?

Mahr-a or mar-a?
I love Mara, pronounced mar-a. It's simple, unexpected and yes, dark. I'd pair Mara with something simple - Mara Catherine, Mara Eve, Mara Olivia. Mara Amira is cute, though.

When you say mar-a, do you mean so the Mar rhymes with the mar in Mary? (when I see Mahr-a and Mar-a, I pronounce them the same..)
Anyway, I only like MAHR-a. MAYR-a like Mary seems a little counterintuitive for some reason, and not as pleasant-sounding. (Unless it was spelled differently... maybe)

Think Sarah
pronounced with an American accent, then think like Mary. Both are used.

I'm having an internal argument re: this
I think Mara, like Mary with an a at the end. But then, Mahr-a sounds supremely artistic. It's up in the air. Maybe I'd use both, but on different occasions.

I personally prefer MAHR-ah over MARE-ah, but they are both nice.
