HelpLaRe's KUY Royal Congrats: Round 5
Welcome to round five!
This round, the Monarch dies; please adjust your titles and line of succession accordingly.
Optionally, your Consort may also have another child, gender and names of your choice, as long as it honours the late Monarch in some way.
The Prompt
After more years of agonising waiting, war finally broke in the open when the opposing faction assayed a surprise attack. With the first move made, the war quickly escalated, and the situation remained hot for several years until finally, in one decisive move, it all ended. Your people won the war, but alas, the victory was pyrrhic and came with a heavy loss of life and property. But perhaps most troublingly, the final decisive action also claimed the life of their leader.
The Monarch is dead. Long live the Monarch.
How is the nation doing now that the war is finally won? How are the royal family reacting to the hefty price of victory? And who rules the land now -- is the line of succession to plow straight on despite the Crown Prince(ss) young age, or will a regent or council take the reins?
