Soon after Alini and Alaric were married, Alini announced she was pregnant. The next day, Lara made the same announcement. Everyone was glad to see two royal grandchildren, the King and Queen were just as overjoyed. It was particularly auspicious that Lara and Raoul were expecting, as Lara's baby could potentially be her heir, when she because Queen of Dellonre. All of the younger siblings, especially the older girls-- Ria, Sarissa and Marina, who were practically triplets-- were excited about their new niece and nephew. They bet on the gender of the babies, as well as who would be born first. Ria got the most predictions right. She correctly predicted the order of the birth and the gender of Lara's baby. However, Adelia stopped there from being any monetary payments.

Lara and Raoul had a lovely baby boy, whom they named Tomas. His middle name, Alexander, honors King Lucian. Alini and Alaric's daughter, Leela, had the middle name Louisa to honor Lucian as well. Dellorne was glad that the Crown Princess had a son, who might carry on the Lirlan line. And Lara was glad her brother and his wife had a baby. After all, Alaric's marriage allowed her to marry for love. And since Alini's child would be the niece of Emperor Faiz of Numar, the rest of the royal family was happy too.
