Riny and Oskar were visiting Lan and Lovisa when they found of that they were expecting. Soon after, Lovisa announced that she was pregnant as well and the two couples started a friendly bet over who would deliver first, continuing through letters when Riny and Oskar returned to Thylos. Eventually, their younger siblings got involved as well, Chris and Tilda thought Riny would deliver first while Alex and Nessa thought it would be Lovisa and Dannie ignored the matter almost entirely. Riny ended up delivering just two days before Lovisa, but the two couples are just happy to have healthy children.
Lovisa and Lan were crowned on Lovisa's twenty-first birthday.
Dannie has spent most of the last two years trying to convince Daniel that she would make an excellent wife and give him more than he could ever ask for, but he isn't the least bit interested. Josie and Theo have been trying to convince Dannie that Jacob is more than suitable but Dannie ignores her parents advice.
Alex, Chris, Tilda and Adelheid are still going into the city whenever possible and Nessa still reads far too many books and spends more time than is healthy in her room and the library.
