After a grueling birth Queen Hedwig gave birth to the heir of Bial Prince August. Named Walter Augustus Emil Heinrich Wolfgang after previous members of the Kaarmann family, the little prince will go by the name August. The prince seems to be well developed round and good natured. The bald prince appears to have fair features and his structural build of his father. Queen Hedy however is taking a while to recover from the birth, it was very trying on her. Walter hopes that she will recover soon so that they may produce more heirs in the chance that something should happen to baby August.
Walter has heavy woes on his shoulder as the people of Bial are outraged at his dear sister’s birth. Walter s reflecting on his decision to use Adelheid has a means to keep peace between France and Bial. The whole nation seems enraged and greatly against the whole marriage. Walter thought that the move would not only keep both countries happy, as France was more then happy to have a beautiful and young princess who proved able to carry children, but that the Kingdom of Bial would be joyous at the peace. Walter and his mother thought that above all else Adelheid would be happy to be Queen rather then a mere princess. In his reflection he hopes that he has made the right decision and above all that his sister is happy controlling her own court and spending the money of France extravagantly because thats what women like to do.
Hedwig's sister Eleonore disappeared from the court rather unexpectedly. Walter was greatly dissappointed and when Eleonore did not write or show up at the palace Walter sent out a page to discover what had kept her away, as he was fearing that she was ill. When the page reported that Eleonore was with child and home with her husband his heart sank and he was distrought. He had loved Eleonore and when she was in the palace everyone had a joyful disposition. He did not think she could love that hideous Heinrich, who was a rather terrible man but he guess she realized both their duties to their spouse. He had been tormented at night leading up to his marriage of Hedwig, both sisters knew that Walter was infatuated with Eleonore, Eleonore was slightly more beautiful and while Hedwig did not lack beauty, Eleonore and Walter were able to get on easily. When Eleonore arrived with baby Valeria he was rather put off but when he realized Heinrich was not with her and that she had come to help her ailing sister, he would steal her away and spend time with her. Walter could not help but wonder what baby Valeria would have looked liked if he was her father. The baby was a jolly child and Walter thought that Valeria and August would be great friends, even if he had to keep Valeria's mother at the castle.
