DH: Heinrich Emil (30)
DW: Rosita Maria Inez (17)
Rank: Merchant (Heinrich), Housewife (Rosita)
Heinrich is a merchant with a small shop out of which he sells trinkets and other unimportant items. The shop is merely a hobby; his real source of income is card-playing and gambling, from which he makes a pretty penny. (It is suspected he cheats, but no one knows for sure.) He has several bars and card houses he rotates between, as well as several different characters he adopts while playing, so his winning streaks go unnoticed.
From gambling, he acquires everything from money to trinkets for his shop to furnishings. While traveling abroad one time, he beat a drunken Spaniard in a game of cards, winning the hand of the Spaniard's pretty young daughter, Rosita. His first wife died a number of years ago giving birth to their first son (who also died a couple of days later), and he found Rosita to be a more than suitable "replacement" for the wife he had lost. As a bonus, he then did not have to worry about finding and wooing a new wife, which was a lot of effort and the main reason he had yet to remarry.
Rosita cares not for her duplicitous husband, but she supposes that life with her father was not much better. She does, however, miss her friends from Spain, and hopes to soon have a child to ease her loneliness.
(I hope it's okay that Rosita is from Spain since her husband is Bialan and they fall under "the populace," but if not I'll change it!)

Rosita was thrilled when she fell pregnant, excited to finally have a friend in Bial - Heinrich mostly ignored her, only paying attention to her at dinnertime or between the covers. Which was probably for the best, she realized, but it didn't help her loneliness any.
When she gave birth to a healthy baby girl some time later, she was even more excited. Heinrich, who had not so subtly been hoping for a boy, took one look at his daughter, scoffed, and left. (He didn't return until the wee hours of the morning, reeking of alcohol.) Rosita named her new baby girl Klara, after the baker who lived a few streets down. It was a solid Bialan name, she supposed, and the baker, while not a friend, was always kind to her. She gave her the middle name Adelheid, after the princess she was hearing about all the time, the princess with whom she felt some kinship - both in loveless marriages with unattractive men much older than themselves.
Heinrich still pays very little attention to Rosita, and almost none at all to Klara, but Rosita doesn't mind much. She and Klara have each other.
