I don't know exactly why you assume the name to be Filipino, I have found no evidence of this. The name may be found in the Philippines, as I have found some evidence of "Taija" in use alongside Spanish names. I don't believe it to be a common Spanish name though, and can find no Spanish definition or longer name from which it is derived.
But I have no doubt "Taija" is a Finnish name. Taken from another post on this website, I have learned it is a Finnish pet-form of "Tatyana." "Tatyana" traces its origin back to Latin, but its meaning is unknown.
