Oh, these are two totally different names."Azalea," as the bush of that name, is from Greek 'azaleos' meaning 'dry.'"Aziel/Azael" and other variations are Hebrew given names.

You're welcome. I enjoyed the research and seeing it come to a good understandable end, even when you threw curve balls like "Azalea."From this point on, I won't think of these Hebrew names without recalling the similar Greek plant nomenclature.Best of luck.

i don't know what my name means. all i know is that it is phillipean.but no websites has any thing about philipians in them. is there any way u could help me find out what the name Taija means?

I don't know exactly why you assume the name to be Filipino, I have found no evidence of this. The name may be found in the Philippines, as I have found some evidence of "Taija" in use alongside Spanish names. I don't believe it to be a common Spanish name though, and can find no Spanish definition or longer name from which it is derived.But I have no doubt "Taija" is a Finnish name. Taken from another post on this website, I have learned it is a Finnish pet-form of "Tatyana." "Tatyana" traces its origin back to Latin, but its meaning is unknown.
