Help with Lilla

Does anyone know where Lilla comes from and how it is correctly pronounced?

I've always assumed it was just Lila with an extra "l", and therefore pronounced LEE-la (like Mila and Milla). However, increasingly I'm seeing people claim it's LIL-uh on other forums, is this legit? Or is it LIE-la?
