If you had children tomorrow
It's been about a month since our last "If you had kids tomorrow" thread, and I always love to see everyone's sibsets. Since these always generate a lot of responses to everyone's sets and since people are getting all reflective for the New Year and changing their combos, I thought it would be a nice time to do one.
So off the top of your head, what would you name your B/B/B/G/G/G sextuplets for 2007?

These are always so hard because I only have a couple of names that I'm really, really attached to. But if I had to name six real life, flesh and blood children right this minute, I'd call them:
Gloria Rachel
Rose Imogen
Gwendolen Lila (nn Gwen)
Francis Doug (nn Frank)
Lucian Max (possible nn Luka or Luke, depending on my mood)
Adam Morgan
Ask me tomorrow and the answer will be different.

SunniBeth!
I love them all! Seriously, each combo is really good. Miller makes Caspian sound hot! And Felix does the same for Lucien. And I really love the girls' combos. Soleil, Mireille and Socorro have all been on my faves list for a long time. Your interest in Andraste is piquing my interest in it too. Great sibset, darlin. ♥

I suppose I'd go with...
Tristan Reed, Caleb Rowan, and Declan Ryder for the boys, while I think i'd use Ophelia Lucy, Camilla Pearl, and Daphne Maeve for the girls.
So...

Or I could go with...

I love these hypothetical 'challenges' but the thought of carrying, birthing, and then caring for 3 or more babies at one time makes me extremely nauseous. :( [Bear in mind that I work in an NICU and we've had 50+ babies lately, so I have had a 4-baby assignment lately and it has sucked (even though they are "well" babies). LOL]
I'm not currently "in love" with many of my name choices lately, but a lot of my old favorites are still there. I'm also started to find myself drawn to "simpler" names--those that are still uncommon and old-fashioned but that are also short & sweet to some degree, and not difficult to spell or pronounce. Maybe I'm simplying my life as I age. :b Also, I've also included one or more family names in each combo as this is something that's very important to me (they are denoted with a *).
Ok, enough with the rambling......
B/B/B/G/G/G sextuplets:
Henry Franklin*
Miles Reed*
Rowan August*
Eve Candis*
Iris Shirley*
Nora Elspeth*
= Henry, Miles, Rowan, Evie, Iris, & Nora
Ok, those were my "practical" naming tastes at work. Since I'm bored, I'm now going to name my sextuplets names I love without worrying about honoring family members or pronunciation and spelling, or a name being too 'out there'/popular/matchy, etc. :)
B/B/B/G/G/G sextuplets:
August Quinn
Emmett Graham
Oscar Lucian
Clara Violet
Isla Beatrice
Rosalie Maeve
= Gus, Emmett, Oscar, Clara, Isla, & Rosie

Both sets are wonderful!
Nora Elspeth, Isla Beatrice (love love love), Clara Violet, Rosalie Maeve, Rowan August, Emmett Graham, Oscar Lucian, Iris, Evie, Henry, Miles, Gus and Rosie are all terrific. I don't know why I bothered to list because that's almost all of them, but yeah.
I don't think your "out there" set is at all difficult or odd. Truly, I like both sets.

and here's what this dyslexic person read: Jed, Ben, Luke, Mercy, Pepsi and Coke :P, needless to say I was shocked at first...
I like Jed, Ben and Luke as brothers, very fitting. I'd name Mercy Mercedes then just to balance it out with Persephone "Persi" and Socorro "Coco". I love Nyx as well, I could never use it unfortunately, because in Dutch Niks (same pron as Nyx) means 'nothing' and that would be cruel to name a child. (Maybe someday I'll have a cat by that name :)

Wow, Persephone and Nyx in the same combo; that would require some serious testicular fortitude. I like it. :)

Jedidiah Hawking sounds so cool! I would slightly prefer Jeremiah Hawking nn Jem, but its awesome. Great combo.
Mercy Nightingale is also lovely. And I would love to see Persephone on an actual person. I had a horse named Persephone when I was little.

hehe I decided when I was 6 that my first son would be Connor Patrick Bolton and haven't wavered on it since. It is the one name on my whole list that even if it became the next Michael, I would still use it :)
I like the second combos better. I like the names used in them and the order/flow, and I think the overall set benefits. Nice combos all in all, though.

As you can see, I've been going through a big change with my girls' names, as I've realised that a) I really don't like names that are too fancy, b) that I'm actually allowed to use popular names if I like them; and c) that the short, sweet girls names I was loving won't work at all with the surname of the guy I'm seeing. So I've been exploring new avenues.

My six:
Colette Antonia Marie
Maxine Helen Ramona
Zelda Music Elisabeth
Rowan Spencer Allan
Cyrus Dexter Davis
Gideon Cecil Giovanni
That was kind of off the top of my head, so they need quite a bit of tweaking. Antonia, Marie, Helen, Elisabeth, Allan, Davis, and Giovanni are all family names or forms of family names. I normally don't use two middle names, but that Colette combo is my favorite. It's also my only cemented combo right now, so I figured I'd mess around with some names I like.

Wow, well mine hasnt really changed but I have two lists: the boyfriend agreed names, and the I-would-if-I-could list he doesnt like. Since my list that is useable is incomplete (no girl names and only two workable boy combos), this is from the list I can not use due to my SO hating the names:
Evander Atticus - Andy
Avery Donovan
Julius Everett - Jules
Jacqueline Clare - Jac, JC (I love intial names, and I know most disagree, but is this more male?)
Kelsey ______
Isabel ______ (really growing on me for some reason, not my style, but really liking it and it scares me in a weird way)

I don't know if you can assign a gender to initial names. Traditionally, I think they were mostly used on boys, but today, I wouldn't assume one way or the other if I heard JC called on the playground. Jacqueline Clare is a pretty combo.
Your boys are great, too. They all have an unusual but spunky element to them.

I really dont like a lot of girl names....
Kelsey Annette popped into mind though.
I like Hannah, and sort of like Caitlin, but not with Isabel. Just doesnt seem to work. I like mns that are odd intials and not very common (like my other mn, at least when I made the combos Everett and Donovan werent too widely used).

I normally dislike Troy, but when I read it here, my first thought was Homer and the Iliad, and that's a really cool connotation. Your post has single handedly changed my opinion on that name. Nice. :)
I like Nicholas Troy and Callum Julian.

Thanks. I majored in Ancient Cultures - so that's exactly where my inspiration for Troy came from. Thank you for starting this great topic. It has generated some inspiring and memorable names.

Adelheid Joanna is lovely, as is Daphne Alexandra. Nice combos!
Warwick has caught my attention - interesting choice. I love the combination Daphne Alexandria. I don't like the spelling of Adelheid. It reminds me of "Apartheid".
Daphne Alexandria is fantastic!
Yay for Daphne, Beatrice and Margaret! Warwick is growing on my because I like Warrick, and I finally realized that they're prn the same way. Oops. :) Benjamin Wesley is very nice, too. And Heidi and Joanna, too.
Avery Jackson, Blaze Coleman, Rowen Maddox,

Rowen Maddox -I would like this a lot if Rowen was Rowan.
Ophelia Chance -Ophelia is gorgeous, Chance is not.

Tavish Owen
Cedric Theodore
Leo Kenneth
Calista Delphine
Daphne Nimue
Tabitha Joy
Owen and Kenneth are family names. The rest are just names I love. The boy names are pretty set, the girl names not so much. I'm not huge on Joy, because I hate one-syllable filler names, but I just really like that combo. It's a very old combo for me - been on my list for almost a decade. Nimue might be my favorite name, if it wasn't so difficult for non-Arthurian people to pronounce. That's why it's a mn, and not a fn. I say anything goes for mn - and that's a perfect place for an interesting literature name that isn't terribly usable in the real world. Calista Delphine is probably the best reflection of my style - uncommon but traditional.

Love Theodore and Tabitha Joy!
Love Tavish Owen and Calista Delphine
Love the name Leo. It seems to go well with Kenneth. I would never have thought of that. Tabitha Joy is adorable!
Kenneth and Theodore - YAY! Love Owen and Joy too.
I like Tavish Owen and Cedric Theodore, and I really like Calista Delphine. I also love Daphne.
A challenge for one, usually I'm set on what I'd name at least two sons/daughters but I'm in a transitionary mood at the moment, there's only one name that's a definite.
Let's see:
Charles Frederick (hope that future partner [whoever that may be] likes this because I'm pretty set on it)
Theodore Darcy (think I'm near enough settled on Theodore for a second son and loving Darcy at the moment, need to have it somewhere)
Sebastian Edmund (Sebastian I'm a bit iffy on at the moment, Edmund is a revived favourite [blame the Blackadder])
Isabel Rosemary (I think for today, still not sure on Isabel Kerensa)
Josephine Kerensa (Hmm? Getting bored of Josephine Grace, I never thought I'd have this complaint but Grace is getting too popular! It's number 2 this year for England/Wales and that's just first names, imagine how many have it for a middle name.)
Rosamund Harriet (I'm a bit bothered about the closeness of Jos- and Ros- but I love Rosamund and always have.)
Maybe two middle names (sorry for using this thread as a sounding board)
Charles Frederick Darcy (I like this, handsome I think)
Theodore William Aubrey (again, really loving Aubrey and want it somewhere)

I ♥ John too :-)
Wow! What a delightfully gorgeous and classic sibset!
Charles "Charlie" - very handsome
Theodore "Theo" - too cute
Sebastian "Bas" - not very keen on the nn though, personally I prefer Seb. If pronounced like 'Baz' it might grow on me...
Isabel - :)
Josephine - so under appreciated imo
Rosamund "Rosa" - adorable

I really dislike two middle names, but I love your parings.
Let's see:
Charles Frederick - This is completely Poppylena.
Theodore Darcy - I'm not sure that this flows.
Sebastian Edmund - Great for you, too lordly for me.
Isabel Rosemary - I love this, it's simple and lovely.
Josephine Kerensa - I like Kerensa quite a bit, don't like Jospehine, but it flows.
Rosamund Harriet - My favorite by far
Charles Frederick Darcy (I like this, handsome I think)
Theodore William Aubrey - I love this, Theodore William is great.
Sebastian Edmund John - Love Edmund John
Isabel Rosemary Jane - Love Rosemary Jane
Josephine Kerensa Grace - Love Kerensa Grace
Rosamund Harriet Eve - Love Harriet Eve
:-D

Oh wow, you have brilliant taste!
Charles Frederick -So handsome, masculine, and underused!
Theodore Darcy -I love Theodore, and Darcy pairs well with it.
Sebastian Edmund -I never liked Sebastian, but I'm starting to. Edmund is fabulous.
Isabel Rosemary Jane -Beautiful. I would never use Isabel due to popularity, but still lovely!
Josephine Kerensa -Great!
Rosamund Harriet -Oooh! I must say, I like Rosamund Harriet Eve more, and Rosamund Eve more than that, but they are all gems.
Don't shut up, then I can't get so many ideas! :D

You too, I often have 'Wish I'd thought of that' moments when looking at your list. :)

I love Isabel Rosemary; I would definitely pick that over Isabel Kerensa, and I do like Kerensa, but I just think Rosemary is better with Isabel. Kerensa is very nice with Josephine, though. I'd keep them like that.
I've never been a big fan of -fred- names, but Charles Frederick is a handsome combo. Maybe there's hope for me, yet.
I am less bothered by the Jo- / Ro- thing than by Rosamund and Edmund in the same set. I'd use Sebastian Edward, which is also nice, and keep Rosamund.
By the way, that's what these threads are for -- to be a sounding borad. I've tried to reply to some of the stuff you brought up, and not just say which combos I like. :) Hope it helps.

I liked Isabel Rosemary when it popped into my head earlier (Ciarda had suggested Isabel Rosamund the last time and I liked the suggestion of a Ros- name), Josephine Kerensa seems familiar, I hope I haven't nicked it from someone else on here.
I never noticed both Rosamund and Edmund (I nearly went with Edward as well), I must confess though, one of the first families I made up (and still have because I can't bear to change them) had triplets in it that were Edmund Peter, Verity Anne and Rosamund Marie.

Funny, but I just noticed in this one that you have a Rosemary and Rosamund in the same set. How is that not more obvious than the -mund. The minds of namenerds work is really random ways. Edmund and Rosamund are both nice names, so I can understand the dilemma. It wasn't until recently (and with the help of a certain sonnet writer) that I started appreciating -mund names.
Oh yes (I think my love of Ros- names is showing).
Rosamund and Edmund are old, old favourites (the former because of a series of school stories called 'The Chalet School' that I read a lot, the author used some wonderful names, and the latter because I used to be obsessed with Blackadder). They seem wonderfully medieval.

I like Finnegan Rhys
These combinations are really gorgeous! Good choice.
I adore almost all of the names, actually :)
ditto :-)
Yay! I love Cora, so I'm glad to hear I could help spread its appreciation. Your boyfriend has excellent taste. :)
Beautiful.
They're all great combos - old-fashioned and just gorgeous.

I love all of these names on their own and in these combinations. They have a literary, historical feel. Very classy!
Henry Lawrence -Love it.
Oliver Michael -Strongly dislike Michael. However, I am addicted to an adoption blog, and the little baby boy the woman is adopting has this name :)
Elliot Homer -Nice.
Cora Genevieve -Adore it.
Adelle Cecelia -Beautiful!
Elsa Lavinia -Fine. I like both names, but I think they'd be better separatley.

Yes to all! I must say, you have impeccable taste, =).
Siena Lyric is very nice :-)
Fiona Violet is great! I also like Mia, Rowan, and Isaac.
Just to let you know, I edited it to be sextuplets instead of quadruplets (because I had my heart set on too many girls combos.) :)
I love Dante, and Adeline Sophia is a great combo.
Yeah, sorry, when I started editing it, no one had replied yet, so I thought it might be OK. No worries.
Elizabeth Joan is very also very nice. :)
