I've only seen Harriot in records (so it strikes me as an archaic spelling of Harriet), and I saw Lesbia and Lesbie as well as some other similar ones like Phineas and Cornelius (similar to Phinnaeus and Cornelio) at a cemetery recently. I guess Lesbia must have been semi-popular before the word lesbian was used commonly: maybe that explains the popularity of Leslie a bit? Idk.I met a Shanna recently. It's ok.Elsbeth is interesting. I've met an Elspeth, but I think I like this Beth spelling better.Imunek ("I'm unique") looks neat on paper, but that pronunciation isn't close to intuitive for me so seems gimmicky.Dior - I think this is currently charting as unisex? I'm kind of fascinated by it. The sound is ok.Wow, interesting...

Out of them all, I like Shanna “Shann-uh” the most; it’s a very gorgeous, underrated name. I do like Alianna, if said as, “Al-lee-AN-uh;” Mariana “Mar-ree-awn-uh,” Jaina, and Adaria are also pretty. I can’t say that I care for any of the other names.

I love Arabel, Amalitsa, Betsabe and Lesbia. If you like Lesbia you may also like Lisbi/Lisbee/Lysbie (pron. LIZ-bee). I hope that helps!!!

Hi!Thank you for sharing.I'm always surprised: in U.S. there are so many rare names and variant names everywhere! Here in Italy it's very rare coming across a name with less bearers. Rare names are very unique...variant names does not exist. The 40% of babies every year is named with a Top30 name... This situation has changed thanks to people with a foreign background but among Italian names the revival of rare names is so slow compared with U.S.A.!

Hey, haven't seen you in a while :)There's definitely a lot of mixing and borrowing from other cultures here that give us some interesting results!I also admire how proper and elegant Italian names are, but I'm always happy to see old and rare names come back in use. :))

Vaitiare is lovely. It's the first time I've ever seen it. I had only been familiar with the word tiare and didn't know it was used as a name.
