Re: Zechariah / Zachariah
What about Zech? Although it may get mostly confused for Zach. I knew a Zech once. I don't think Zeke is too big of a stretch, though.
I have always disliked Zachary, but Zachariah isn't so bad and Zechariah is a bit better yet. I think Zachariah is a perpetually youthful sounding name, but not in a douchey way like Zachary. It feels a bit athletic, I guess, while Zechariah is more warm and cerebral. I would assume a Zachariah/Zechariah had pretty normal conservative, Christian parents--normal for where I live, anyway. I wouldn't bat an eye. It fits right in with all the Noahs, Levis, etc.
I think both names clash a lot style-wise with Cordelia. If Biblical boys' names are mostly what you can agree on, I'd be going another way with girls' names. I see you like Edith and Margaret... something more classic like that would fit just a little better.
