Re: Zechariah / Zachariah
The "eck" part bothers me a bit. It reminds me of "blech," as Bear said. Good to know others think Zeke could work.See, I think Zachariah/Zechariah sound more Jewish. M. is actually Muslim, and I'm agnostic, raised Christian. I like some Biblical names, but I tend mostly toward more British names, usually older, slightly fusty and/or pretentious ones. Haha. He likes all of two names pretty much, so trying to determine style is...well, he likes Adam because it doesn't stand out and it can be found in his religion but doesn't scream "other," whereas he like Azrael because it sounds cool. Sometimes, he says he wants something to be found in all three religions so it could belong to anyone, while other times he says, what about the Arabic name X? All this to say, I'm confused, but I don't think "Biblical" is necessarily where it's at for us. LOL. I feel like they clash a lot too. :( Cordelia is my favorite, and he actually agreed on the full combo I like for it when we first started dating, so I'm not giving that up! :P-----------------------------------------

Interesting, the only young Zachariah I know is from a Muslim family. I don't think it would be "weird" to not belog to the sort of person I described, that would just be my first assumption.
