I recently heard the name Benno which I think is a great nickname for Benjamin. We have a dog named Benny and I've started to call him Benno now. I also call him Benjamin (because sometimes it's just nicer to have a longer name) Benjamino (ben-JA-mino, not ben-ja-MINO), BenBen and Benny Boo.

Benno is kind of cute. I'm not really one for the -o nicknames, not sure why. And hey, someone else who came up with BenBen. :)
