My name is Holly Renee. My grandmother calls me Sally sometimes, for some reason. In high school I had my initials at the time, HRC, on my backpack, and from that a guy in my class started calling me Hector. Another guy used to call me Gunther, never really understood that one. A girl I've known since preschool nicknamed me Harvard when we were in middle school together, because I always got the best grades in class, and she still called me that up until we graduated from high school. (I did not go on to attend Harvard, to her disappointment.) Sometimes I get called Hollypop now because the first syllable of my last name is pop, and when things get really drunk and festive my friends call me Holiday, and those two are my favorite nicknames because frankly they make the most sense of all the nicknames I've ever had.
