Well, I'm an American, and I've never met a soul with the following names:

Jaxson (Jackson, sure, but never Jaxson.)

Kodiak (like the camera?)
Lawyer (there's one occupation name I haven't thought of.)
Lucky
Pardee
Parish
Park
Pepper
Powell
Rand
Smokey (WTF? This is a cat's name.)

Which leaves only Kalen and Rider.

I want to know where the author of this book did their research, because I don't know ANYONE with names like this.
