Ignatius....
My Bf and I love Ignatius and are definately set on it for the name of our first son (in a few years lol). We have even toyed around with middle names (Possibly Ignatius Edward Anton, Ignatius Maximilian Noble or Ignatius Barnaby Edward) but we are having big problems finding other names that are quite as 'exciting' and formal as Ignatius. We have thought about:
Caspian
Isidore
Barnaby (he's not so keen)
Balthazar and for girls we only really have
Arabella
Beatrice. If you had to pick out the *perfect* siblings for Ignatius what would you choose outside our list, and what do you like out of our lists.ALSO there was a guy on the early tv show with kids named Xavier, Adelaide and Ignatius Theodore.. which I thought was lovely.

Awesome!!!I love Ignatius...it's such a great old name.
Personally, if I used it, I'd use Ignatius Percival. However, from your possiblities, I like Ignatius Isidore Balthazar.
Beatrice Arabella would make a good sister for him. Caspian Edward Maximillian for a brother.

I beg of youTo choose my darling Ichabod... someone, somewhere must give Ichabod a loving home. I heart Ichabod so very much and fear that it will become extinct before long!

Lol! The only problem I have with Ichabod is that it has no real nn potential and the two I's of Ignatius and Ichabod.

Ohh, I know. Ichabod is so tricky. I just thought of maybe Bud - for the "bod" on the end there? It's a little country bumpkin, but... or what about Cabot or Cabo? Eh? Eh??and I myself think having two I's in a family is glorious. I have developed a small thing for alliteration... :D

Wow, glad you like so many!I've always pronounced Fiammetta as "fee-uh-METT-uh". I'm sure the pronunciation in Italian is slightly different, but I think that's pretty accurate in English.

There was a top international sportsman in South Africa about 25 years ago named Ignatius and called Naas (nahs). He has a brother Darius, which I think works well.I can't take Balthazar seriously; there are so many little Isabel girls that a boy Iz or Izzie would seem odd; Caspian is very Sea and also very Narnia; what about Barnabas? It seems a more important name than Barnaby, though I like them both. Edward is brilliant with Ignatius as a mn; Anton could even work as an fn for a brother, and so could Theodore.Beatrice wins over the frilly Arabella ... Georgina? Penelope? Aurelia?

I love Ignatius Maximilian Noble.I love Caspian and Theodore as brothers for Ignatius.
Out of the two girls, I adore Arabella. I prefer Beatrix over Beatrice though.
