I've gone back to loving Katherine but I'm getting tired of the nn Kate. It's becoming so common now as the Katherine nickname of choice and "old hat". It used be Katie that you couldn't get away from and now it's Kate.

What do you think of the other nicknames? Kathy, Kat, Kit or Kitty? Kathy sounds rather middle aged but it's charming in it's own way. I like Kat a lot but wonder if it would stick, same with Kit. Kitty is cute but I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to use it.

And finally what do you think of Katherine with no nickname? Katherine is so rarely used in full. Do you think a young Katherine could go without a nickname?
