Tzeitel. I've never seen / read / otherwise taken in Fiddler On The Roof, so I didn't know of this name until I saw one of those huge families on TLC who had a daughter named
Tzeitel.
I pronounce it somewhat like TZYE-tl. The second syllable doesn't have a schwa in it; it's more like the end of 'little.' The first syllable I pronounce to rhyme with sky.
I don't think I'd ever use
Tzeitel, since I don't have any Yiddish heritage and it's a
very Yiddish name, but what do you think of it?
