My name is Laura. I love it (but I'm a little biased, I guess). Personally, I can't stand the name Lauren (because I get called that constantly and it drives me crazy). I'm not sure where Idony lives, but I was born in the 80's and I have only met... around 4 Lauras in my life. I've met more Laurens and Lauren was actually higher on the popularity list in the 80's than Laura. But anyway, I agree with what a lot of other people have said. It's simple, timeless, modest, sweet, but strong. Also, it's used almost internationally and is popular in other, non-English-speaking countries. I like that too. I'm glad it's my name. =)
