[Opinions] Help me name my 4th baby! 🤰
Need ideas for our 4th child!
I never intended to have a theme, but I do want my kids’ names to sound good and flow together well. I don’t want any of my kids to feel left out.
My husband prefers names that aren’t unusual, and I want names that aren’t too common. So it’s hard to find things that are somewhere in the middle that we both like.
We MUST have a good nickname for each kid. That’s a must.
I also would enjoy each child having their own letter, but it’s not a must.
So far we have:
Samuel “Sam”
Lydia “Lydi”
Elaina “Lainey”
We don’t find out gender. For a boy we are thinking about Judah “Jude” or Wesley “Wes”. Boy ideas are welcomed. But it’s the girl names we are stuck on. Any ideas would be appreciated!

I prefer Wesley “Wes” of your two options. Other suggestions are Jonathan “Jon” or “Johnny”, William “Will”, Elijah “Eli”, Joshua “Josh” and Joseph “Joe”.

These are just my favourites (I used the American popularity list…assuming you’re there as most people except me seem to be!) - have a look at the popularity list in your country and see what catches your eye. Anything below 200 is pretty rare TBH. Look out for the fast risers - you might want to steer clear of those. :)

Also it will be a few years before the child knows its gender, you mea bio sex.
I think Judah is nice for a boy -- unfortunately, it's not really my place to recommend names of my own, since my taste is unusual and in favor of my own heritage.
Based on the divide in your husband's preferences and yours, it seems like a girl's name from your PNL is the best bet. Names like Caroline, Evangeline and Felicity are classic choices that are neither too common nor unusual. If those don't satisfy, it might be worthwhile to check your heritage and see if there are any names that you and your husband both like. And congratulations! I hope you have a safe delivery.
