Elodie: 9/10. Glossy ballerina name, but the original
Élodie spelling look cleaner. Similar vibes to
Odette.
Seraphina: 7/10. Lovely sound, crystalline, but cold and over-dramatic. I prefer the
Serafina spelling.
Lavinia: 8/10. Wistful widow name. I mean this as a compliment.
Genevieve 8/10. Pretty. Almost too pretty. Very smooth.
Delphinia: 1/10. Yeah, I know it was an ancient Greek festival. But it just makes me think of dolphins.
Romilda: 2/10. Heavy and meaty.
Astrid: 7/10. Beautiful and starry, if a bit conventional.
Ingrid: 9/10. Very cool in a gritty way.
Daphne: 10/10. Charming with a great meaning.
Diana: 8/10.
Love the associations, bit put off by the "die" sound and how strong the association with
Diana, the
Princess of Wales. It's nicer than
Artemis, but not as nice as
Artemisia.
Claudia: 6/10. Cold and aristocratic.
Ivy: 10/10. Charming and bottle green, it will definitely become extremely popular.
Serena: 4/10. Too serene. Makes me go to sleep.
Mira: 7/10. Cool if it's MEE-ra, uncool if it's MY-ra.
Kira: 4/10. Sounds unfriendly.
Tabitha: 4/10. Dowdy, but better than
Dorcas.
Lyra: 6/10. Technically pretty, but a bit heavy on the tongue, and as far as costellation names go, I prefer
Cassiopeia.
Belle or Isabelle /Annabelle nn "Belle": 3/10. better than the ugly
Bella, but still silly as a full name. I much prefer
Isabel and
Annabel to
Isabelle and
Annabelle anyway.
Elisabeth: 5/10.
Elizabeth is boring,
Elisabeth is boring and lispy.
Primrose: 9/10. Sweet and underused floral name.
Rosetta: 6/10.
Stone.
Vada: 2/10. Sounds like the Polish word for "flaw".
Georgiana: 5/10. Clumsy.
George and its derivatives are solid, but unattractive.
Juliana: 3/10. I like
Julia and
Anna,
Juliana is lifeless.
Lavender: 3/10. Very soapy.
Lilac: 2/10. Limp and listless.
Violet: 10/10. Beautiful, one of my favourite floral names.
Hyacinth: 5/10. Too flowery on either gender, and I associate it with the male mythological figure.
