Elodie - upbeat and cute, but a bit fly away and incomplete. 7/10
Seraphina - Beautiful. It reminds me of music and has a lot of possibilities for nicknames. 9/10
Lavinia - Pretty and old-fashioned. The lav bit makes me think of washing, which is better than being dirty I suppose. I go back and forth in regards to how much I like it. 7.5/10
Genevieve - Cute & vivacious. I like that the ending is a bit different from the usual. It isn't a personal favorite, but it is nice. 8/10
Delphinia - It sounds like a cross between a high priestess and a botanical reference, so it would be neat to meet one, but it is a lot. The nickname Delphi could be fun. I would want to know more about the festival to Apollo by the same name. 7/10
Romilda - I feel like I should like it more than I do. It is a strong name, and I like both Romilly and Matilda. It seems more abrasive somehow. 6/10
Astrid - A tad astringent, but nice over all. 7/10
Ingrid - Beautiful but not in a showy way. It is the sort of name that emphasizes or draws attention to certain aspects of the bearer. A reserved Ingrid might come across as remote and severe while a refined Ingrid would make the name seem like gorgeous ice crystals. For that, I’m subtracting a point. 9/10
Daphne – Pretty. The potential nickname Daffy is a drawback. 7.5/10
Diana – Goddess of the hunt meets Grandma with cigarette. Both versions of Diana kick butt; however, they aren’t the warmest individuals. Diana seems more likely then Artemis to have a hunter killed by his own hounds even though both versions of the goddess probably wound do it. 7/10
Claudia – Clunky but confident. It is more elegant and attractive than Claude, but it still lands with a thud. 6.5/10
Ivy – Sweet, comfortably familiar, and very green. It looks frail but has its own strength. A bit clingy though. 8.5/10
Serena – Charming, seductive, and tranquil. 7.5/10
Mira – 8/10
Kira – Fine. 6/10
Tabitha – This name has grown on me. Yes, it has an affiliation with cats and the daughter of a nose wiggling witch, but I’m really enjoying the funky yet familiar quality. It reminds me of someone who has an ordinary and not particularly intriguing hobby like crocheting and creates something wild and zany with it. 8/10
Lyra – Meh. I’m sure the lyre is a nice instrument, but the name makes me think of someone who is willing to lie to get what she wants. It is attractive in a way though, and my personal impression of it as a pretty little liar name probably isn’t common. 6/10
Belle or Isabelle /Annabelle nn "Belle" – Isabel / Isobel are beautiful even if they are a bit overused. Isabelle has an extra frill that doesn’t really add anything like one bow too many on a dress. Annabelle sounds like a brat.
Elisabeth – Classic. I prefer the Z spelling, but the S version is solid. The Z version is a powerful queen and the S version is a pleasant, motherly religious woman. 8/10
Primrose – Okay but too prim. It is like someone who could have blossomed but an inhibition held them back. 6/10
Rosetta – Meh. I’ll take Rosamund, Rosalind, and Rosalie over Rosetta. Rosetta is the flowery dancer at the club who gets in loud arguments with her lover in the kitchen. She has a good heart but is dramatic and extra. 6.5/10
Vada – Darth Vader addressed by a subordinate from New England. Even without Star Wars, it seems incomplete. 4/10
Georgiana – It has a beautiful historical flare with an expansive quality. Georgiana could take on and triumph over any George of her era. 8/10
Juliana – Okay. Juliana is proper, draws in the lines, and does well in life, but she doesn't bring much to the party. 6.5/10
Lavender – Nice. It is full of remembrance for things past but also has a solid, pragmatic quality. 7.5/10
Lilac – Not awful, but I’m not fond of the “lack” ending. 5.5/10
Violet – Lovely, thoughtful, but slightly pensive. 8/10
Hyacinth – There is an old British tv show called “Keeping Up Appearances” whose reruns are still shown. Hyacinth, one of the principle characters, was a social climbing, inconsiderate, bulldozer of a woman. Even without that association, it is not one of my favorite names ending with TH. The S sound in the middle leading up to the already lispy TH is too slithery. I prefer Meredith, Aldith, and even Elizabeth. 4/10
