The chances of Boss or Bossy happening as nns seems fairly high, which to my mind would not be good. Is she actually from Boston, or is it a family surname?
I like quite a few place-names, but they're all Welsh and local and meaningful, or are also generally-used people-names. I don't much like the idea of naming a child after a place you've no connection with, but I suppose it depends on how much you like the name.
