Aiday and Aruzhan, wanted to keep their Kazakh names, but wanted nicknames that fit in with their new family. Ada and Rue, who are identical, both have medium-light skin, dark brown almond-shaped eyes, and beautiful black hair. They are both adjusting well, and love having a little sister to take care of.

She has dark skin, dark black hair, and beautiful brown eyes. Nia had more trouble adjusting than the twins did, but she is getting used to her new family. Willa is thrilled to have a sister close to her age to play with.

Soon after Nia is adopted, Michael and Daphne find out that Ada and Rue have a little brother in Kazakhstan named Arman Temir. They decide to adopt him. He looks a lot like his sisters, with medium-light skin, and dark brown eyes. His hair, however, is dark brown, rather than black. Arman, who is 13, also decides he wants a nickname, and he chooses Ari. He is doing well now, but he had a tough time emotionally. Michael is grateful that he now has a son.

Lucy, who looks like Michael's mother, is the oddball of the family, with straight, red hair and blue eyes. Everyone in the family is overjoyed by the birth of the twins.
