Background: While researching for a book about doctors, writer Willa Greenberg met Vayu Patil, a doctor who's a quarter Indian. They got married about 3 years after they met, and now live in Israel, where Willa is currently researching another book.
Year 1
Vayu and Willa start a "family" by getting a pet goat, which they name May.

All of his sisters are thrilled to have a brother, and Vayu and Willa are glad to have a son.
