This idea has been kicking around in my head since I had to abandon my rival empire's congrats. Since my compromise congrats is relatively small and low-maintenance for me, I've decided to do it. Instead of two kingdoms, there will be one, the kingdom of Bial. The first person to sign up will be the ruler and will set the tone for naming. All names of native-born Bialans will be in the language the first sign-up uses (or at least could be reasonably used in that language). They don't have to follow the naming style, just the language. If you don't really like names from that language, you can always sign up as some sort of immigrant or foreign diplomat. I'll provide a framework story, and you can elaborate on it however you want if you are so inclined. Please provide some sort of backstory for your couple with your sign-up. Though a fictional country, Bial is still part of this world (think Florin and Guilder from The Princess Bride) and historical events do affect it. Therefore, an exact start year is needed. Because I find it more fun to play around in the past, the kingdom can be set anywhere from medieval times to the late 1800s. Use the time frame as a basis for the names you choose and the family you describe, but since Bial is a fictional country you can certainly have a little wiggle room.
You may sign up as:
Queen/King (first sign-up only!)
Prince/Princess (sibling of the monarch)
Duke/Duchess (will include other relatives)
Lower Noble (baron/baroness, lord/lady/etc.)
Wealthy/Influential Commoner (anyone wealthy, regardless of their profession will be here as well as all well-respected artists or writers, regardless of wealth)
The People (the general populace, anyone not rich enough or important enough to be in the previous category, from a comfortably-off merchant to a beggar.)
Foreign Diplomat
Immigrant (anyone from refugees with nothing to rich people who simply wanted to move to Bial).
If you are inclined to a military family, you can choose both military rank and which rank they fall in on the list, anywhere from Duke/Duchess to The People.
Same-sex couples are allowed, but to follow historical accuracy they must be kept quiet, so a cover-up marriage will be probably be necessary unless your couple has a good cover story. If your cover story is good enough to not need a cover-spouse, you will adopt orphans rather than have biological children. You can choose the degree of openness with the spouse if you have one.
Hope none of that was too confusing, but if you have questions just ask!
