LN: Bonfils
DH: Louis François Philippe Henri Bonfils, Prince Louis, Dauphin of France (25)
DW: Adelheid Sophia Margarete Maria (née Kaarmann) Bonfils, Princess Adelaïde, Dauphine of France (15)
Rank: Princess and Prince (sister and brother-in-law to the King)
Princess Adelheid is the fourth-born of the Kaarmann Royal Family and second princess. Adelheid has always felt as though she were the “forgotten” princess. After all, everyone was always saying how “perfect” Magdalena was; dignitaries from all over the world were impressed at how well Magdalena spoke – in every possible language! And, although Adelheid spoke perfect French, her tongue could never quite form the correct sounds that comprised the other foreign languages that the tutors respectively spoke. Adelheid was also inferior to her sister when asked to play music or dance; Adelheid just seemed to be born clumsy. Even her stitching was incomparable to Magdalena’s! Adelheid’s stitching was adequate; Magdalena’s was breath-taking. However, Adelheid did manage to outdo her sister when it came to outdoor pursuits – Adelheid was an excellent rider and archer. There were some days when she would even manage to trounce her brother Joseph at archery; Adelheid has yet to trounce her brother Walter, although she came within a hair’s-breadth of winning once.
And, as it turns out, Adelheid’s excellent French has become useful! Due to strains between the Bialan and French courts, Princess Adelheid was sent as a “peace offering”/bride to the Dauphin. King Walter, Queen Hedwig, and Queen Dowager Elizabeth tried to negotiate a wedding that would take place when Adelheid turned eighteen, but King Louis of France wouldn’t hear of it! The timing was either now or never!
So, Adelheid traveled to France, reminding herself that she’d never been close with any of her siblings or either of her parents, so missing them would be foolish. Besides, Adelheid was finally going to outdo her sister – she would eventually be Queen of France, while Magdalena would only ever be a lady. When Adelheid arrived at the French court, she found her husband to be foppish and quite ugly, with an odd sense of humor. And, he was old! But, Adelheid reminded herself that she had a duty as a Princess of Bial and, only months after her arrival, the Dauphin and Dauphine were wed.

Hmm...
Seeing some interesting future prompts here, sister Adelheid, as well as with our brother Joseph.
