It's too similar to the Internet acronym "wyat", "where you at?". OK, the internet has ruined this name. The slang term "gyatt" is way too similar to this name and I start dying of laughter whenever I see some kid named Wyatt and pronounce it like "gyatt".

Way back a billion million years ago in the olden days when was in elementary school a kid named Wyatt licked a banana slug on our 6th grade camping trip. He also licked a lot of trees. If your name is Wyatt I am just going to assume you licked every tree in the area and I am not going anywhere near your house.

Wyatt is a cool name with some historic edge. It reminds me of the famous Wyatt Earp; a great association in my mind. It’s also nostalgic in the sense of the show “Super Why!”. Wyatt never seems to be too popular so it’s also a unique choice.
Pronounced 'Y at' real easy to say, that's my surname many people will think my name is White after yrs of knowing them. When asked for name and address etc I say my name and spell it and refer to it as like Wyatt Earp then it's all clear. Lol the name is from old English with Anglo Saxon roots meaning warriors war hardy etc. And I'm not fat nor a warmonger.
Wyatt here. I'm surprised to see how popular this name became in recent years. Growing up it was very rare to know another Wyatt, and often people would call me the wrong name or assume I went by my more common middle name. I quite like my name so it's nice to see it's getting some credit lol.
Derived from the name Wigheard, whose two syllables mean “war” and “brave / hardy / strong”.

Wonderful, adorable, masculine name for a boy. Horrible name for a girl.

I liked it and then one day someone pointed out that it sounds like someone named their kid. "Why it?" and now I can't unhear that, and it ruined the name for me. :/
My name's Wyatt, 2 Wyatt's go to my school, I'm the 3rd. Wyatt is an impressive yet nonassertive name, it's not like being a real life alpha male, but it's not too much of a runt kinda name, its perfect! Able to implement dominance when needed, silence when wanted, and compassion/personality/reality into one persona.
To be honest, I can’t really see a girl with this name. I personally feel like Wyatt is more of a boy's name than it’s a girls name. But hey, if you want to name your daughter that, who’s stopping you?
I don't really like the surnames being turned into first names thing but I take exception to this. It has a strong masculine sound around it which I like and it also has an air of formality. Good middle names for Wyatt would be James and Joseph. It is the only surname for a first name that I actually like.

Sounds whiny and annoying to me.

It’s a very beautiful and handsome name for any age, but there’s an association with an annoying cartoon show that I’ll have to forget.

Wyatt is a cool name, but on a boy only. Sounds too masculine to be used for a girl. There are plenty of strong feminine names out there, and a girl definitely doesn't need a masculine name to be strong.
When I was a little kid, I used to pronounce it "Watt" because I didn't know how to pronounce the "Y"

I think Wyatt Joseph is cute name for your son and that name Wyatt Joseph is a cute name for newborn boys!

I like it. I think of a tall, handsome, muscular guy.
Addressing those who wish to name their child Wyatt: proceed with caution. The "rugged and handsome" impressions that this name seems to give off are not to be underestimated. Your very own Wyatt may grow up to become the incredibly handsome heart breaker that so many daughters' parents come to fear. To prevent my children from experiencing the torment that Wyatt's face every day, I plan on giving them blander names, such as "Craig" or "Marvin".
So adorable for babies and kids and very handsome on men. This name sounds very cute, innocent, and friendly yet also sexy. Perfect fit!

I've only met one Wyatt, and I used to hate the name but now I really like it. Even though it is a strong masculine name, I don't hate on Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis for using it for their daughter. It could be kinda cute as a girl's name.

A beauf girl who went to my school named her son this last year. I think Wyatt's a terrible, childish name. It's even worse on a girl, since of course Ashton Kutcher (whom I cannot stand) had to use it on his poor daughter.
Something about this name sounds.... I don't know, SPEEDY to me. Like it's the name of a track runner who's always on the go and never stops to take a breath. It's not a bad name, but I don't love the sound, and find it a bit too surname-y for me to really like it.
A super cool and masculine name. It's too bad though, that those idiots Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis gave their daughter that name, it's like naming a boy Tiffany.

My son was born in March 2007. His name is Wyatt Christian. My friend's toddler called him whywhy and the family started calling him that... Kinda annoying... We call him wifi and why... But he also responds to his middle name Christian (male version of my name and I'm a fan of Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves.
My son's name is Wyatt. I did name him after the boy on charmed because that was my favorite show when I was younger. Wyatt Levi is his name and it just fits him with his personality.
For a boy? Sure. A girl? No way, are you KIDDING ME? I don't care if Mila and Ashton named their poor daughter this... this is such a boy name. It's really sad to think otherwise.

Aww, the name Wyatt is really cool and cute! ^_^ I love the cowboy charm it has. It's masculine sounding and respectable. I'd definitely name a son this! :D.

We have a 2 year-old Wyatt. A friend started calling him "Wi-Fi" about a year ago. I wasn't sure at first but everyone loves it now.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's daughter's name is Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher.
I love the name Wyatt. I have actually liked the name Wyatt for a long, long time--from the time I was in 8th grade, which was a really long time ago. I plan on naming my first-born baby boy Wyatt one day.

I was really surprised to see that this is in the top 50! I met a baby named Wyatt about a year ago and I had never really thought of or heard the name on someone until then. It's not my favorite name, but that baby was really cute so that's probably why I like it :) but he's the only Wyatt I've ever met, despite its popularity.
I love this name despite all its drawbacks (Why it, Wyatt be Quiet, Wyatt the Riot, etc). It seems like most people first heard it on Charmed while I heard it on Private Practice (there was a side character named Wyatt).
Wyatt Cenac is stand-up comedian, actor, and writer, whose claim to fame is his spot as a correspondent on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart. He's hilarious.
Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have a son named Wyatt Russell born in 1986.

Name of Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp "Wyatt Earp", an American law-keeper known for his gunfight at the O.K. Corral with Doc Holliday and his two brothers Virgil and Morgan Earp.
It boggles my mind why this name has become so popular. It sounds old-fashioned and somewhat elitist and pretentious despite its current popularity. The sound is simply unpleasant. It sounds like a person who can't pronounce 'r' trying to say 'riot'.
I'm afriad that I've grown to hate this name due to associations with exceedingly annoying and obnoxious people who bear it. It's also becoming a bit overused.

I think the name Wyatt is pretty cool. My brother has a friend named Wyatt, and I think it's awesome! I might want to name my son that someday.
We named our son Wyatt. He fit his name. I am not a watcher of Charmed, but I am aware of the character. We will tell you our son was one of the sweetest most caring human beings ever. He was very brave and not scared of most things. We only had him here for 4 1/2 years. But I must say it is the best name we could come up with and NEVER doubted the name or the boy who has it.
