Fashionable and chic, romantic and feminine, classy and sophisticated. This is such a beautiful and well rounded name. It checks all of the boxes. You could never go wrong with this name.

I love love LOVE this name! I love the fact that it has Valentine in it and it makes the name sound so sweet. It is also really classy too. A lot of sweet sounding names aren’t exactly “classy” but this one is. I think I will probably be changing my name to this soon lol.

I think Valentina is a beautiful name! It sounds very erotic and enchanting. I come from a Latin American culture and it sounds very sexy when pronounced in a Spanish accent. I already know that I’m going to make my future daughter this! I haven’t met a single girl or woman named Valentina so I like how it stands out.
Valentina is gorgeous and truly beautiful in many ways. Romantic, alluring, and glamorous. Valentina is truly an attractive name that no parent could go wrong with. The name is strong as well with its lovely meaning. It doesn’t need a nickname either, perfect just the way it is.

I want to love this name so bad but the “tina” just throws off what I find beautiful about the rest of the name for me. I do adore the names Martina and Alexandrina (Queen Victoria’s name).

People who call this name 'snobbish' or even 'impossible to live up to' have A) very boring taste in names or B) a boring name themselves. Don't take it out on the Valentinas of the world. It's gorgeous, romantic and strikes the perfect balance between refined sophistication and airy, feminine beauty that so many other names try for, but fail to achieve.

A stunning name whose beauty is often buried underneath minute personalities. A bearer of this name who lived up to its beauty, glamour and grace is Valentina Cortese.
Beautiful and refined. I know a Valentina. She doesn’t go by any nickname except the nickname Ava that her German father gave her. Lovely girl with great taste. The name is fitting. I'm a big fan.

I think this name is really pretty.

While I think this name is stunning, I agree that it seems impossible to live up to. I'm not sure how something can be too refined but this is what comes to mind when I think of it. The qualities thought of when seeing or hearing this name are qualities that I don't believe a normal human person can be. I think of someone that is impossibly perfect. Impossibly graceful, impossibly skilled, impossibly well-read and spoken, impossibly patient and kind, lovable and that of the sort. Someone who is practically untouchable and unattainable.

This name is absolutely beautiful and royally romantic. Cosmopolitan is an understatement. I agree that this name may be difficult to pull off. Yes, it's fancy and sophisticated and has flair. It is classical and makes me think of poetry, ballet and sonnets. As do the names Isabella and Francesca. And what's wrong with that? What makes this name so exquisite is that its beauty is understood all over the world. Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Russia, Lithuania, South America, etc. The world as a whole understands what a marvelous name this is! All of the girls named this, don't let negative comments deter you from your beautiful names. They are worthy of all of the praise they receive, oozing such elegance, romance and grace.

This is another fanciful over sophisticated rich spoiled girl Italian name. Lump ‘Valentina’ in with the Isabella’s and Francesca’s. So snooty. I feel bad for the normal parents who believe their children can actually pull off such cold classist names.

I just don't know how to feel about this name! I want to love it but I think of a prim, classical, rich snob. It feels like an inaccessible name that's impossible to live up to. I have read that this name is common amongst Hispanic communities but I've only ever known of Italians, Germans and Eastern Europeans with this name. All of the Italians and Germans are coming from money.

My best friend is Valentina. She is very pretty with piercing blue-green eyes. They remind me of opal. She is the opposite of what people seem to expect from this name. This is a wonderful name full of life.

I was named after my grandmother, middle name Francesca. I’ve always held mixed feelings about my name, but I’ve never heard negative things from anyone. I’ve also never met another Valentina. I am a ballet dancer and medical student, so I find it surprising that I’ve not yet run into another Valentina. It’s quite nice to read all of the positive comments.
I adore Valentina for a name. It's undeniably beautiful. It's so melodically romantic yet unwaveringly strong, at the same time. I love the association with Valentine's Day, as well, as I think it makes the name even sweeter. Also, I absolutely love the meaning of this name, which is “healthy, strong”. You rarely find a name with a meaning like that, yet I think it is simply wonderful. What parent wouldn't wish strength and health for their angel? Overall, I think Valentina is such a gorgeous name, and it's one of my personal favorites.
Beautiful, feminine name, Valentina. Has class and beauty. I like this name, it looks good and sounds strong and soft at the same time. Name with quality.
Name of the Day July fifteenth twenty twenty. Also, my numbers won't work, so...yeah...that's why I typed it out. I like this name okay, but I'd use it if my daughter were born on Valentine's Day or something.
I'm starting to really like this name - it's very strong and pretty. And there are so many possible nicknames - Vi, Val, Vina, Vida, Tina, Tia/Tiya. The list goes on.
I am still very, very young and when I was about 11 years old I discovered this name and immediately had a liking to it. When I adopt my daughter from Ukraine or Romania, I will give her this name. It sounds like a strong woman with high intellect, who is high-classed and wealthy. I think Valentina is a beautiful name, but I was a little disappointed when I found that it is currently the 94th most popular name. Wish it was a little less unique here in the US so my daughter would have a very beautiful and unique name. Maybe it will be less used in 2035, who knows?
I always liked Valentina, and I never really liked Tina or other Tina names such as Justina and Christina. In my opinion Valentina sounds like the name of a beautiful woman with flowing brown curly hair and brown eyes.

This is a lovely female name. The male variant Valentine is the better name, in my opinion, but Valentina has a nice flow.
Valentina is a gorgeous name. Unique but easy to understand, with a melodious and romantic sound, strong and sweet at the same time. It fits so well into so many personalities. I can imagine a strong and warlike Valentina, but I can also imagine a dreamy and romantic Valentina. And "V" being one of my favorite initials, that name gets more points for me. In my opinion, Valentina is one of the most beautiful names that exists.
My name is Valentina so I'm okay with this name but hate the fact that sometimes people can't pronounce it right or stuff like that. If the workplace uses the first letter of the first name then I'm nearly always last but lucky for me at school they use the first letter of the last/middle name. Valentina is a Latin name, all the people I have met with this name are from Latin America.
I know a girl named Valentina. She's just called Tina, and for a while I thought that was her actual name. She's a nice girl, but I don't really like this name. Maybe it's because of Valentine's Day, and I think holiday names are kind of tacky.
I wish my first name was Valentina but my middle name is because I was born on february 14, Valentine's day. I love it but to you people who want it to be your first name, I'm just saying people will remind you of bad stuff like the Valentine's day massacre and how St. Valentine was excuted on that day. But overall I love the name.

Valentina is my favourite girl's name. I WISH my parents had named me this. So pretty and unique.
I absolutely adore this name. In fact, I'm legally changing my name to Valentina soon. My birthday happens to be 13 February, but I don't think my birthday being a day off of Valentine's Day and my name being Valentina will be that weird.I've heard negative comments from the cliché "I hate Valentine's Day" people, and I've heard it's silly, but hey, it's my name!
I love this name. It's so powerful and sexy sounding. I imagine a dark skinned girl with Russian heritage with thick black hair and bright eyes. It sounds like the name of a very confident person. I prefer the nickname Vala, which I think is cute and pretty.
I know a girl named Valentina, and I think it's a beautiful name. She also goes by Val, which I think is very cute. As far as I know, she only gets positive comments on her name.
Commenting on my own name because I love it! 90% of people I speak with every day comment [positive] on the name. As a part of my job, every day, I speak with at least 70 people from all over the world for the first time. I have been told only once in person that being from Bosnia my name should not be as plain as Valentina. I started laughing, asked her if she was serious and she was, too.
A woman I know who is named Valentina is the worst and the meanest person I have ever met in my life. That is why I hate this name. Maybe once it was only because of her, but now I hate the name for itself alone.

It is the middle name of my daughter. Her first name is from her grandmother (which is typical in Greece) and I named her also Valentina because she was born on Valentine's day. I couldn't resist this.
