My name :3 I have to say Ray and the different variants like Rae and Rei are in my opinion one of the best names. My impression of this name is short and elegant. It's easy to use and remember. In my opinion this name is unisex. That is why I chose this name for myself.
Ray William Johnson is a famous YouTuber known for creating the fictional band Your Favorite Martian. He also wrote the song Doin' Your Mom along with Micfri and Breeze.
Ray is a character in the Disney comics series “Area 15”, written by Roberto Gagnor and drawn by Claudio Sciarrone and Libero Ermetti. Ray is an intelligent duck who likes nerd culture, reading and drawing comics with Louie Duck. Ray is the first -and only- paraplegic Disney comics character. Despite this, no one talks about his disability. His story is more concentrated on his qualities. He’s portrayed as a teenager just like the other teenagers.
Rayman is the main protagonist from the video game series of the same name created by French game designer Michel Ancel. His most notable feature is his lack of limbs, as his body parts float alongside him. He also sports a giant nose, blonde tufts of hair that can spin and allow him to glide, and a purple hoodie with a white circle. In the games, Rayman is a magic guardian who protects the Glade of Dreams from various evils alongside his quirky cast of friends.
I like Ray by itself but only as a middle name. Just ‘Ray’ as a first name sounds a bit odd to me, but it’s a very nice middle name, especially for summer like names! August Ray?...idk. But also you have some options— Ray, Rae, Raye, etc.
This is the name I go by and I love it to death. However, I do kinda see this name as one for a 40-year-old trucker who's probably racist rather than a gay teenager. Oh well!
The 1986 coming-of-age movie "Stand by Me" (the film adaptation of Stephen King's "The Body") features a fictional character called Ray Brower, the boy killed by a train whose body is sought by the four protagonists.
Ray has also been traditionally feminine. In the US, girls have been named Ray since the beginning of name records in 1880. It reached peak popularity in the 1920s. In 2018, only 21 girls were given this name.
Ray Chase, also known by his real name as Ray Chaifetz or his alternate name as Danny Boston, is an American voice actor who has voiced Roy in the English versions of Fire Emblem Heroes and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Ray is the name of my best friend. When I want to get serious I use Raymond. His nickname when he was younger was Ernie (don't ask). But I love him dearly. I have many, many great memories and fun times with Ray. It might be a simple name. But it holds a special place in my heart. Love ya brother of a different mother. Shalom and love...
“Ray” is the name that I gave to a character of mine. Well, I shortened “Raymond” to get that name. But anyway, I've found it to be a nice, cute and calm name.
I can't believe nobody has contributed this yet, but Ray is the middle name of Bill Ray Cyrus and his daughter, Miley Ray, also known as Hannah Montana. It's also Jason Earl's "honorary" middle name.
"Ray" is the middle name Miley Cyrus chose to switch her middle name to, after changing it from Destiny Hope Cyrus. (She said it was "in honor" of her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.)

My brother and father are both named Ray. I really like this name better than Raymond. It's short and reminds me of both the sun and the sun god Ra. I don't know any other Ray's personally, so; I think the name is unique as a first name. When I think of Ray I think of sunshine and power.

Ray Stevens (if you haven't heard his songs, you're missing out, buddy), funny (usually) singer. Ray was actually his middle name.
My middle name is Ray. I am a girl. I didn't like my name when I was little. Now I like it very much. I thought it was a boy's name. I was named after a Jewish woman my mother knew. Are there any more women out there with this name?
