Qassi

Arabized form of Kaci. In Arabic, Qassi (قاسي) means "hard", "tough", or "stern". For example, قاسي الملامح (qāsī al-malāmiḥ) is a phrase meaning "stern features" (used to describe someone with a tough or serious expression). When used as a name, it does not usually refer to its literal meaning. In Persian, the name Qassi is possibly borrowed from the Arabic word, though meaning more symbolic of strength and determination than a reference to emotional harshness.
