Meaning & History
A Greek king who had enslaved a group of Trojan exiles. He was fought, and defeated, by Brutus, who then claimed the hand of Pandrasus’ reluctant daughter, Ignoge. Brutus also compelled Pandrasus to release his Trojan slaves, and to equip and provision them to enable them to leave Greece. So equipped, Brutus left Greece, taking the Trojans with him.
