Meaning & History
A Greek king who had enslaved a group of Trojan exiles. He was fought, and defeated, by Brutus, who then claimed the hand of Pandras’ s reluctant daughter, Ignoge. Brutus also compelled Pandras to release his Trojan slaves, and to equip and provision them to enable them to leave Greece. So equipped, Brutus left Greece, taking the Trojans with him.
