I know an Olufunmilayo who goes by Ayo. One would probably assume that nickname to be pronounced "ei-yoh" from reading it, as in "AYO 💀", but it's really "ai-yoh", like "Io".
You guys are probably not even African, not to say Nigerian, to understand the value of this name. And FYI, it's usually shortened to Ola, Funmi, or Ayo.
Not only is it hideous, it also is WAY too hard to say! You would need an even more apalling nickname, like Oluf, or something else that sounds like trash. It's just like naming your kid Quiopolkigedoryklandermoli.
