Miffy is a fictional rabbit appearing in a series of picture books drawn and written by Dutch artist Dick Bruna.Her original Dutch name, "Nijntje", is a shortening of the diminutive konijntje, "little rabbit". The first English translator for the books, Olive Jones, christened her Miffy.According to the Miffy website, the name "Miffy" doesn't have any special meaning, "But it is easy to pronounce in all languages.".
