Meaning & History

From Egyptian mryt-jmn meaning "beloved of Amun", derived from mrj "to love" combined with the name of the god Amon. This was the name of a daughter of Ramses II and Nefertari. When her mother died she became her father's new Great Royal Wife, along with her half sister Bintanath.
